Design that gets read.

Since 1993 we have designed books, magazines and brand identities where form, function and emotion come together – for publishers, cultural institutions and companies in the Stuttgart region and well beyond.

Services

One studio, three disciplines

We start from the content – and take a project all the way to the finished, printed copy. From the first idea through typography and picture editing to the press check.

Book Design

Books you want on your shelf

For publishers such as Fabulus and G. Braun we develop crime and non-fiction covers, anthologies and series designs – including full interior design, type selection and print supervision.

Crime covers with pull

Covers for the crime series of Fabulus Verlag and G. Braun – imagery, typography and series logic that are recognised instantly in bookshops.

Interiors that carry the text

From the type area to the facsimile page: calm typography, ribbon markers and detailed solutions for a literary travel guide at Klöpfer & Meyer.

Fantasy and young-adult series

Cover worlds for Fabulus Verlag – from »Ormog« to »Darkanum«: distinctive illustration, hand lettering and a series look that grows with the list.

Typography worth turning the page for

Book design for the writer and engineer Max Eyth – layered imagery, coloured edges and an interior that makes history tangible.

Non-fiction and art books

Monographs such as »Stuttgarter Damenklasse« (G. Braun) and fiction for Fabulus – picture editing, indexing and grid from a single source.

Slipcases and boxed sets

Multi-volume editions in a slipcase – »Barockes Welttheater« (Quell Verlag) and the Reclam guides Opera ⋅ Theatre ⋅ Concert: series, spine and packaging conceived as one.

Editorial Design

Content that gets a structure

For many years we have been responsible for the layout of »Literaturblatt für Baden-Württemberg« and design brochures, programme booklets and annual reports. Editorial, image and graphics work together.

Studio

Two designers, one studio

Stefanie Röger and Jörg Röttenbacher have worked as independent graphic designers in Leonberg since 1993. Both graduate designers, both with a soft spot for good typography and the printed word.

»Form, function and emotion – on every project we bring these three together.«

We work with dedicated contacts and a well-rehearsed network of photographers, illustrators, journalists, repro specialists and printers. That way you get concept, design and production from a single source.

Content first

We read before we design. Hierarchy and structure come at the start of every draft.

Craft through to print

From the font licence to press approval, we see every project through to the finished copy.

Reliable since 1993

Firm deadlines, clear advice, reachable even for last-minute changes.
